I am just setting up my blog and decided on this for my header and background (and I have added your blog's badge, as requested). I was wondering if it would be possible to create a post divider using the pink daisy in the design? I noticed some of your designs have dividers and others do not, so if it is not a possibility, I understand. Thanks, in advance, for your consideration!

Hope you enjoy this post divider. If you don't know how to install it, there are great instructions here:
http://shabbyblogsblog.blogspot.com/2009/06/tutorial-how-to-add-post-dividers-to.html

You can just start with step #5.

Also, if your dividers run into the text above them, try the following:

A little below the place where you put in the code for the divider image, you will see this code:
.post-footer {
margin: .75em 0;

Immediately under this, add a line that says this:
padding-bottom:?em;

Where the ? is, add whatever number you'd like. You can play around with it by using the "preview" button to see what each change makes it look like.

Hope this helps. Happy blogging!

The post divider is TERRIFIC. Thanks for the instructions. I have incorporated the divider, adjusted my spacing, and all seems to be well! Thank you so much for your wonderful service and for sharing your talents!

I am unable to get the code to work for this. Was wondering if what you have posted is correct?

This code is working fine on my end, and I have seen others use it successfully. Please check my troubleshooting page to make sure you've entered everything correctly:
http://simplyblogitbackgrounds.blogspot.com/2008/12/troubleshooting.html

If you're still having trouble, please email me at simplyblogit@gmail.com and I can change the code a bit so that it will hopefully work better.

Thanks!

I have gone through your instructions step-by-step for installing this cute background and cannot get it to load. Any suggestions?

Hi!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with one of my backgrounds! I hope I can help.

It looks like your blog currently has an "add-a-gadget" type of background. I just have to make sure that you did, indeed, delete that gadget entirely before you added my code to your HTML (sometimes people forget that part, and it's the easiest fix!).

Assuming that you did that and that you followed all other steps here:
http://simplyblogitbackgrounds.blogspot.com/2008/12/troubleshooting.html
...then it could be a fluke which happened with one other user. I can re-upload the background and generate a different code for it and send it to you, and hopefully it will work. But please do check the instructions one more time before I do so, just to make sure that there was no semi-colon deleted, extra period inserted, etc. --the smallest things do often make a big difference. If you double-check your steps and it still doesn't work (and you still want to use that background), let me know and I'll be happy to try sending you a new code. Hopefully that'll fix it!

Thanks so much! Happy blogging.

Thank you for your feedback. I did go through each step carefully, removed the add a gadget, selected minima, cut & pasted the code exactly as I should into the edit html and it still did not work. I love this background and would still love to use it if you can help me with a rewritten code. Thanks!

We'll give it a try! Try this code:
background-image:url(http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp85/simplyblogitbackgrounds/pinkdaisywildcirclescopy-1.jpg?t=1296769550);background-position: center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed;

Let me know if it works! Thanks!
